Just a quick catch up today. Nothing too crazy has been going on….which is mostly a relief since we are still recovering from an insanely busy holiday season. The boys are back to school as of Monday which as most parent’s know is a relief. Don’t get me wrong….I do not mean this in a “I’m so sick of my kids” way……only in a “it’s nice to be back on the routine” way. When the boys are home the routine gets thrown out the window and things get a little crazy. When you work from home it’s very important to stay on a good schedule so that all the work gets done on time. So needless to say it has been nice getting back to the normal grind. Both boys were happy to get back….since they both thrive on stimulation and routine as well. No complaints so far!
Logan came home yesterday with this “thank you” letter to Mrs. Clause. Thought I would share because it’s just too funny and so My Logan.
Work has been slower since the holidays are over and everyone is out of money. haha. However, this has been okay since it has given us an opportunity to re-stock our flea markets here locally and get some house projects closer to being done.
My living room currently looks like this since we are re-doing the boy’s room. All of their toys and clothes have been moved out here which has not been good for my cardiovascular health due to the stress I get every time I look at it. But we are adapting knowing that it should be done today or tomorrow. Fingers Crossed! I will share the finished room when it is all complete.
Meanwhile, Gavin has tried his sippy cup for the first time complete with apple juice….what’s not to love about that. He has also enjoyed some crackers which are a little difficult considering he still has no teeth. He is also trying to get himself up on his legs (a little hard to see in the picture) so we definitely have some serious crawling in the very near future. I’m pretty sure my life is about to get very difficult. Haha
Otherwise, Jared has been back in the garage…I have been back to cleaning baby food out of my hair while answering e-mails, playing peek-a-boo and taping up boxes. You know the usual.
And this is how the life of a work at home mom and mommy blogger looks. Working on the laptop while baby bop plays with my slipper and Rachael Ray teaches me what I should feed my family for dinner….even though it’s going to probably be pb&j.
Me and my exercise buddy are delving into another diet book and if you all are interested I will do a review on that in a few weeks. So far I’m hungry but am hoping to drop another solid 10 pounds. Here’s to hoping!! As always, comment below if there are things you want to read about such as product reviews, more recipes, baby topics or just more posts about what we had to eat and how many dirty diapers I changed. LOL. You can also follow me on instagram (@aleciaharris88) for more silly pics and blog updates. Thanks of all the support everyone! Cheers!
