School is officially one week away from today and while typically the parent’s are the ones chomping at the bit, in this household, it’s the kids who have the countdown going. Every morning I wake up to “8 more days” or “7 more days.” The boys are sooooo ready to get back to school and see friends, learn and be stimulated. They enjoy the first 1/2 of summer but then get bored and ready to go back. I’m grateful for this because it would be so much worse if they hated school. Loving it means they try really hard and really excel so I’ll take that any day of the week. Logan will be in 3rd grade and Mason in 1st and that makes me grow gray hair just typing it. Where has the time gone??
The only one not ready for school is Gavin, even though he doesn’t know it yet. But he’s going to miss his brothers and playmates. I’m looking forward to longer naps since it will be so quiet once again. No little boy wants to play with mom all day so I’m sure he’s not going to enjoy the next several months. Poor baby! 😉
Work is in full force over here. We are swamped and so that balance we were so hoping to find has literally gone out the window. Jared spends from sun up to sun down in the garage and I spend any time kids are napping in the basement printing, shipping, wrapping and e-mailing customers. I think some relief is on the horizon…..it’s just gonna take a few miracles to get there. We can do it!!
Right now it’s currently raining….again. I actually really like rain since it usually provides a perfect day to nap and cuddle with someone special but after a summer full of nothing but rain I’m reaching #overit status!! There are only so many rainy day activities I can come up with and my idea well is completely run dry. Marathon episodes of Sesame Street it is.
Other than all that excitement not much is happening over here. Happy Hump Day Friends!!
