So is anyone else struggling with keeping up with this year??? My goodness it feels like 2015 is going to be over soon and I’m still stuck in February! Good grief. One day this brain will be able to keep up.
The boys are back to school today for the start of their first full week. The routine has gone pretty smooth so far and the chaos hasn’t been too bad in the mornings. Thankfully, the boys eat breakfast at school so all they have to do is roll out of bed and get dressed. If your kids aren’t eating breakfast at school I highly recommend it. We just started that halfway through last year and it has saved my life in the mornings. FOR REAL!!!
Gavin is continuing to be his normal cute self. Seriously, this kid is all sorts of amazing personality. He could have a whole show just based on his facial expressions. He has me and Jared laughing so hard every day. It’s so funny how different all three boys are but yet how alike they are at the same time. They’re quite the little comedians. He is still enjoying one on one time with me and has been so good about entertaining himself so I can work. His new favorite activity is to sneak into the bathroom while I pee. He runs in there with the biggest smile on his face knowing he is doing something he’s not supposed to. It’s pretty hilarious. Some day I’ll have some privacy again.
Me and Jared got to have a rare night out on Saturday to celebrate my cousin’s tenth wedding anniversary. To be completely honest we were stressed about taking the time away from work but were glad that we went. Sometimes you just have to force yourself to step away and suffer the consequences later. It was a beautiful evening and we actually got to wear nice clothes that weren’t covered in saw dust and dirt. One of these days we really are going to get back to regular date nights. Although, I think I appreciate them so much more now since they are so rare.
I can start to see a little bit of fall in the air. It’s right around the corner and we are so excited. Logan is getting all pumped up for football again and has started his morning NFL network ritual. Him and Mason have also been wearing socks up to their knees in attempt to be more “sporty looking” since it’s “that time of year.” I’m sure the teachers wonder if their Mother dresses them but I assure you I do not and let them just do their thing. YOLO! (Yes I just played the YOLO card…don’t hate) Besides football, I’m also excited about soups, chilis, all things pumpkin and all the holidays. It’s sure to be an amazing fall this year and we are excited.
There are a lot of amazing things happening and brewing over here and I’m excited to share them all with you over the next few weeks. Our life is CRAZY and INSANE and we pinch ourselves EVERY DAY but we wouldn’t trade any of it for anything. This is the hard part of this journey and once we just get through it, everything is going to be even more amazing!! Happy Monday, friends!!
