Yesterday, the hubs and the older two spent the day in STL eating, playing, eating, driving, watching a Cards game and did I mention eating?! They drug themselves in at 2:15 this morning looking half dead and like they had eaten way too much. Considering all the things I heard about today I’m pretty sure their calorie consumption could probably feed a small army. Hey, you only live once, right?! 😉
Me and the little guy stayed home (since someone has to work around here…haha) and we had some really good bonding time even though we really missed the big guys. The house was eerily quiet, minus baby squeals, and it was nice for half the day but then almost became too much. I’m really not used to peacefulness. (Side note: how cute are these crossed legs)
We ran errands and discovered what it was like to just stick a kid in the cart and be on our way. I found myself looking around every few seconds for the other two but alas they were not there. Amazing how quick we got in and out.
For lunch we smeared peanut butter all over our faces and later we ate toast on the floor…..cause when you’re all alone in the house you can do what ya want. We cool like that!
We played with the kitties and gave each other kisses, and took selfies…..cause why not?
I managed to get some work done but not enough…I was enjoying baby time too much. Haha! After Gavin went to sleep, and our employee left for the day I had the whole house to myself. Ahhhh it was like heaven. I watched a movie, read a book, and actually spent more than 3 minutes on pinterest. Is this what single ladies do??? Man, the life! At about 11 I really started to miss the boys and decided that this peace and quiet just isn’t worth it…..but it is totally nice to have once in a while. 😉
Hope you all have fabulous Holiday weekends and be safe! Talk to you Monday, friends!
