**For some reason this did not post last week so this is a week late!
Our weekend was pretty low key which meant catching up on some work, errands, trying to get some more house projects completed and me trying to tackle the never ending pile of laundry. Does anyone else have a laundry demon who finds dirty clothes overnight and piles them in the laundry room??? I swear one of those is living in some dark corner of my home. All I want for my birthday is to be caught up on laundry for 1 day!!
Anyways, we got the boy’s room almost finished so I should be able to do an update post sometime this week. (Fingers Crossed) Trying to sort through all the trash and happy meal toys was a job I never thought would end. It’s amazing how kids accumulate things so quickly. However, we were able to pass down some things to Gavin so he now has a nice little bucket of great toys that he is loving breaking in with lots of slobbery kisses. His little hook and peter pan action figures are definitely feeling the love. Haha
The weather is super cold so our weekends are stuck inside which is definitely difficult for the boys. They are outside creatures and have a hard time when they can’t exert some energy running around climbing trees. Thankfully, after some pushups and laps up and down our stairs we were able to maintain some sense of calm in the zoo that is my life. 🙂
Sunday was football day and as everyone knows now the Broncos did lose. It was a disappointing loss but sometimes that’s just how it plays out and there is nothing you can do about it. The worst part of the loss is that it puts an end to our Sunday traditions until September. It’s great having an excuse to spend time together as a family and waste the day away together. But now we will continue with our offseason traditions and enjoy the Super Bowl.
This coming week is a busy one. Kids are back to school, we have lots of work to do (don’t we always) and we have my brother n law and his girlfriend spending Wednesday through Saturday with us. We are excited to see them and the kids will be on cloud 9. Plus, it’s supposed to warm up a little by the end of the week so we are looking forward to that even if it just means a warm 40 degrees.
Have great weeks, don’t work too hard and stay safe!!
