We had a crazy busy weekend and sometimes I feel like I need weekend to recover from my weekend. Our house was full of exhausted, zombie like people this morning ranging from 3 months to 35 years old. Fortunately for us older folks, coffee was allowed and lots of it was consumed.
Anyways, Friday night the older boys spent the night with my Mom and watched movies and hung out. My youngest sister came over Saturday morning and helped me prepare stuff for a baby shower we had that afternoon. She kept Gavin occupied and happy and I got to pee for the first time in 3 months without a screaming baby thinking I was abandoning him!! I forgot what that felt like!! 😉
The baby shower went great. It was adorable and it was so nice to see everyone. My cousin looked beautiful and we are excited to add another boy into the family in a few weeks. My grandma, aunts and cousins got to meet Gavin for the first time and so it was great to be able to share his cuteness with them. He was a little angel the whole shower until he fell out of the swing 3 minutes before we were leaving. Yes, it was a mommy fail. We all have those right? Thankfully, he was perfectly fine with only the smallest of bumps on his hairline. Once home he was very happy and probably relieved to be with Dad since Mom tried to give him a concussion. Sorry little guy! 🙁
Sunday was a great day because it was the official start of Football Season. Well, technically it started Thursday but we don’t care about the Seahawks in this house so we chose to ignore it. haha! Anyways, we had a day full of fun and exciting games. Definitely a really interesting day of football. Last night our Broncos debuted and while the ending was a little intense we pulled out the win. Game time was a little more interesting now that we have a small baby in the house again. I spent most of the game reminding the other men in my life to please cheer and groan a little quieter since baby bit was sleeping. He got woke up about 3 times before the game was over but I’d say with all the loudness that was a pretty good night. Gavin enjoyed his Broncos outfit and I know he is going to need another one before the season is over. Little man is growing too fast to stay in clothes for very long.
Logan is in heaven now that football is back. Between the NFL and Mighty Mites he feels like he has won the lottery. I found him at 5:00 this morning awake and catching up on all the scores on NFL network. Crazy kid! Oh well, I think of worst addictions. The kid should definitely grow up and be an analyst or something. He’d be network gold!
Kids are back to school today and after taking most of the day off yesterday we have tons of work to catch up on today. Gavin has had a really bad cold since last week and poor little thing can hardly breathe. He has not slept through the night in a week and I’ve been rubbing Vicks on him like crazy. Hoping it goes away soon and things will get back to normal for him. At least he is a happy stuffed upper!
Hope you all had great weekends and good work weeks! Only 5 more days till the weekend!
