Another weekend has flown by and here we are at the beginning of another week. Only 2 more weeks until the older boys go back to school….which I can hardly believe. Where did the summer go?? I had girls night (with kids) on Friday night with my 2 sisters and cousin’s wife. We had some yummy food and of course some cheap wine to make sure the night was done right. Both babies fell asleep at bedtime and the 3 older kids all hung out in their room playing with costumes, legos, cars and a host of other things that were strewn all over the floor. (Hooray for using imagination) 🙂 We had really fun (late) night and it was nice to have a little bit of girl time since my life is boys, boys, boys all the time. 😉
Saturday, after some attempted sleeping in…….no we were not successful……we got some work done and then headed to JumpMania for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Due to the new baby and owning our own business it’s been hard to do much this summer with the boys. So we were happy for some much needed time out of the house. They all jumped and ran to their hearts delight, Gavin slept, and me and Jared enjoyed the air conditioning since the temps were pushing 100 degrees. Yikes!
Sunday was a crazy day for me. I was up all night and all day with Gavin who was extremely fussy and cranky. I’m pretty positive he was going through a growth spurt since he was eating every hour on the hour and was not happy with any position, placement or really anything. It was pretty rough and needless to say I am still feeling a bit exhausted from the day. He is still pretty cranky today but is slightly improved. Hoping this growth spurt comes and goes really soon! :/ Despite the fussiness we did manage a little fun during the few minutes he was happy. We had a little dance party to some of mommy’s favorite groups…a.k.a Backstreet Boys, NSync, 98 degrees, Blink 182….you know, the good stuff!! The boys are still not quite convinced that it’s the “greatest music of all time,” but I’m working on it. Some day they will appreciate good boy bands….haha! We are also still working on tummy time. Gavin likes it for about 3 minutes before deciding it’s the worst thing EVER! Hoping he starts to see the positives, otherwise, the next few months are not going to be his favorite. Gotta love having a momma in OT!!
Hope you all had relaxing safe and fun weekends with all the people you love!!
