It’s been a busy couple of days around here. Yesterday, the older two and Jared spent the day at White Water (our local water park). This was the first year we didn’t have passes so the boys have been feeling a little water neglected. Since school kicks off in a couple of weeks I wanted them to be able to have some fun in the water since they haven’t gotten to swim at all. Despite it being super busy they all had a great time. It was beautiful weather (low 80s) which was perfect for swimming and lounging outside by the pool. They indulged in pizza for lunch and looked exhausted, tanned and waterlogged by the time they got home. They definitely slept well last night. While the big guys were away me and Gavin ran errands, took selfies (cause how could you not take pics of this cute kid) and had a visit from Auntie Lara. We got to hear all about her trip and as always, had a great time. We ended the day with a walk in the backyard, me throwing the football to the kids while Gavin slept on my chest, and some four square action.
Today was also an adventure, but not nearly as entertaining for the boys. We spent 3 hours in the doctors office taking care of all three of their appointments. Mason and Gavin had to get shots and Logan had to get a sports physical for Mighty Mites. They all got rave reviews and were deemed healthy little guys. Mason took the shots like a champ and muscled through them in true 5 year old fashion. Gavin cried for about 3 seconds before realizing he was also a man and couldn’t break down in front of his big brothers! 😉 They both got looney toons band aides which I thought was interesting since their generation doesn’t even know what that show is. Apparently, Tweety Bird and Bugs Bunny did the trick, though, because they did awesome. Gavin pretty much slept off all the excitement and was really smiley tonight so appears unfazed. Yay!! I had to include a picture of Logan at the doctor’s office. As you can see he was beyond thrilled once we entered hour 2. His dramatic faces crack me up.
Early bedtime tonight. We have a VERY early morning date with the lake and a boat tomorrow. Hopefully we all survive to tell the tale! Gavin’s 2 month update is also coming soon so stay tuned. Happy Hump Day!!
