The weekend came and went and Monday was a blur. Tuesday has arrived and I finally have a second to sit down at the computer and do something other than work. So here we go:
Friday night we were visited by Captain America and Spiderman….although it looks like they’ve been with Hulk too long cause their hands are starting to turn green. They enjoyed chasing their evil villain (dad on the lawn mower) around and saving all of mankind. Me and Gavin were quite relieved.
After that the boys enjoyed some popsicles on the deck and needless to say some baths were needed after that excitement.
Saturday morning started off with a bang with some crabby kiddos running around. In order to get use out of our hill I typically make the kiddos run laps up and down to get some energy out and keep them out of trouble. Logan decided he couldn’t just run….oh no….he needed his stick horse and his cowboy hat. I don’t even know where he found this stuff cause I thought we had gotten rid of it long ago. Oh well whatever gets him outside!
Mason spent the afternoon playing legos and building all sorts of magical kingdoms. He also enjoyed drawing 8 different Olaf and Elsa chalk variations on the driveway.
Saturday night me and the hubs finally got some time together and had some wine and watched a few episodes of OITNB. I had lots of fantasies about binge watching but we are old, exhausted and parents so we made it through 2 episodes before falling asleep. Saturday nights are mega wild over here, folks!
Sunday afternoon we went to town and hit up the bookstore. It’s one of our favorite places and we just don’t get to go often enough. I wish I had millions of dollars so I could buy everything inside the place….but alas.. that is not to be.
Sunday evening we took some family pictures. The boys were wild and crazy but I’m pretty sure we got some pretty candid shots of exactly how this life really looks. haha! I got a sneak peek last night so you get one too. I can’t wait to see them all.
Yesterday, our 2.5 month long search ended and we found and purchased a van. Yes, we are now in the van club but it is by far the best purchase we have ever made, besides our house. It is going to relieve so many issues and a lot of stress. Toting 3 kids around in our tiny car was just not working anymore, and trying to haul groceries and strollers was literally impossible. I was starting to think I need a degree in mechanical engineering in order to get errands ran. I have never been more relieved in all my life!
We also discovered yesterday that Gavin loves pizza and has an even bigger talent at consuming an insane amount of food in one setting. I honestly don’t know how I am going to feed these giants as teenagers. It’s gonna be a problem.
Hope you’re all having great weeks so far! Happy Tuesday!
