Sound the alarm and break out the confetti because our little Gavin monster finally has a pearly white. Mission tooth hunt can officially end as of yesterday. After months and months of teething his bottom left tooth has made an appearance. It’s just poking through so I would have pretty much missed it if he didn’t nearly saw through my skin yesterday while chewing on my finger. Hello, tooth!! Haha.
The tears part for Gavin is over for now….although he has a whole mouth to fill so there are more heading this way. However, for some reason this first tooth nearly sent me over the edge yesterday. Every milestone he hits makes me proud but again I’m reminded how fast they grow and how they stay little for such a short period of time. I’m really not a crazy emotional person but as all mothers know….kids just bring out the waterworks even in the most joyous of moments.
With some teeth will come a bigger variety in some food which will be awesome. He has been doing great with some table foods and crackers but now the possibilities really open up. As a parent, it’s pretty freeing when your babies can start eating some real food. Check back in the next week or two for some posts on what he eating and some food ideas for baby. We’re always trying new stuff around here!
In other news….I think Gavin officially has green eyes. It’s been so hard to tell since they seem to go from blue to green and all the shades in between. Let me know what you guys think. Green…blue…neither?!?!?
May your kleenex boxes be handy and your moments forever sweet with your little ones. Happy Teething!!
