In celebration of Friday night glee we decided to engage in a friendly game of hide and seek. Normally it’s more like hiding and giggling around here. Mason couldn’t actually stay hidden to save his life. He hides (usually with Logan) and as soon as he hears my footsteps he busts out laughing from nerves. We then have to go on this huge charade of pretending we have no idea where they are as the giggles get louder and louder. It’s quite the fun time, really! 🙂
Here are some highlights from tonights version of hide and giggle:
The most popular place to hide in our house is under the bunk beds. Unfortunately, I can’t quite squeeze underneath them but the two giggle boxes can lay under there for hours. This is also the most popular place for sleeping. Many nights I find the two little munchkins in la la land under the bed. They climb under there to pretend they are in a cave, or tent and end up falling to sleep before they get out. Pretty cute!
Keep in mind, our house isn’t very big so hiding spaces are pretty limited. Plus, after we have played this game a million and one times we kinda figure out real quick where everyone is. So the other pretty tried and true place to hide are doors.
The most obvious hiding place is of course under the covers but I tend to choose this spot because it gives me 2 blissful minutes… in my comfy bed… in the dark. I know, it’s terrible right? Sometimes a hard working mom has to multitask relaxation with games of hide and giggles.
As always, the game was easy but it was fun to giggle and play with the kiddos. Friday nights are always my favorite time. Nothing like the fresh feeling of getting off of work and knowing the whole weekend is mine to enjoy. I always tell Jared…if someone could bottle up that Friday night feeling and sell it, they’d be a millionaire. Tomorrow is supposed to be jammy/family/lazy day. Been looking forward to it all week!!!
Ready or not here we come….
BOO!!! Found ya…
