Today is my Main Man’s birthday and I would like to publicly wish him a big Happy Birthday!
Unfortunately, I have no pics of our birthday celebrating because for once I was enjoying the moment so much I didn’t have a chance get picture proof images. Last Saturday was “date day” (we get those every other weekend thanks to my amazing mother n law) so we did most of our celebration last weekend. After dropping the boys off we went out for a mexican style lunch in which we both gorged on chips, salsa and fixings coated in cheese. We then went window shopping all over town and rested in between to have some of our favorite coffee. (Thank the universe for Starbucks) We capped off the evening with some steak, wine and a good movie. It was the first day my legs were working and able to handle some walking so it was nice to get out of the house and participate. I still needed some slight help getting out of the car and such but they held up so we could celebrate. (Thank you pain meds) 🙂
My husband used to live about a block away from a local skating rink and spent numerous days and nights growing up there. So for his birthday I rented out the whole rink for 2 hours and invited family to join us for some roller skating fun. We had an 80s themed night and had a blast. I really wish I had pictures to share but it just didn’t happen. Everyone had a blast and Jared said I won “wife of the year” award so ….mission accomplished! 🙂
Since most of our celebrating is over, today is more of a lazy day then anything else. Jared will be getting in some poker time with the guys tonight and I will use the girl time to get some wedding planning done with my sister. I am feeling about 75% better and so we are preparing for me to go back to work next Monday and get back into our usual routine. Therefore, this weekend will be spent relaxing, being lazy, snuggling and enjoying each others company. The beauty of celebrating my husband’s birthday is knowing with each birthday I get to love him more, I appreciate him more greatly, and that I have been lucky enough to spend another year of my life with the most perfect human being out there. No matter how old our hearts get, I will always rest my head on his and know that our love lives and shines through with every beat.
I love you, babe…..Happy Birthday!
