In my quest to build a big milk supply I have been researching foods, herbs and drinks shown to boost milk supply. Breastfeeding can be very demanding and exhausting for many new mothers and there is always a battle between giving your baby the best possible nutrition and just being plain tired and sore. My whole goal with Gavin is to build up a big enough supply that I can start slowly dropping some feedings in the coming months to allow myself a break. However, my milk supply has been somewhat low and we have had some difficulties with latching on correctly. Therefore, I’ve been trying some of these foods and herbs in a desperate attempt to be able to pump more. I was skeptical at first but I have noticed an increase since adding these foods into my diet in bigger quantities. I have also been taking the herb Fenugreek 2 pills 3x per day. I think the combination of all three has really helped me a lot. Hope all you other moms hoping to build up a good supply find this helpful too. Good luck!
