Three cheers for Friday!! Not only does it mean a busy work week is over for most of you it also means Easter celebrations can begin and we can all get outside and enjoy some beautiful sunny weather. Ahhh can life be better??
So since it is Friday, I decided to start my first “Fabulous Find Friday” post. Today is going to be about 3 beauty products I am loving right now. I am a drugstore junkie since I am a mom on a limited budget and try to catch as many sales as I can when it comes to makeup and other beauty products. There are constantly new products I want to try but can’t justify the price if I end up not liking them. So sales are my friend.
All three of these products are for the eyes. My eyes are my favorite feature of my face and I’m always looking for ways to play up their dark chocolatey goodness! haha. I often use a very muted blue or light purple shadow that is not bold but just hinted. Those two colors tend to bring my eyes out in the best of ways. However, I get bored easily and needed to change up my look so me and my Mason Man headed off to the store to see what we could pick up.
The first two things I found that I am loving are these eyeliners by Rimmel. This one is the Scandal Eyes Waterproof in nude. It can be found here. The nude one is great for making the eyes pop (yes, shockingly I think it even looks better than white) and it literally glides on the eye without smearing or pulling the delicate skin surrounding our eyes. It was only $4.50 and eyeliner usually lasts a really long time for me. I usually use black eyeliner but this is a great option for the waterline on the days when mascara, blush and lip gloss are the only things I feel like applying. Which will probably be way more often once baby gets here.
The next eyeliner is also by Rimmel and it’s the Special Eyes waterproof in black magic that can be found here. It’s the same formula as the nude and it glides on super easily and stays put. I normally don’t like waterproof eye makeup because it tends to be really harsh on my skin and make my lashes all gunky but I love the staying power of this liner on my waterline. It lasts all day and is super easy to touch up if needed in the evening times. It doesn’t irritate the eyes and it’s easily sharpened and applied. It was also $4.50 but I got a BOGO deal so I feel like I got a steal with both of these products!! Yippee!
The last product I found took a while but it was worth the perusing back and forth down the aisle. I searched all the brands and just couldn’t find eye shadows I liked. Nothing seemed to jump out at me and they were all kind of dull and boring…..or they were all the purples and blues I already had. Right before I was about to give up I noticed this Physicians Formula quad. It’s the Oh So Sexy Eye Shadow Quad that can be found here. It was probably the dangly shoe charm that really caught my eye and the super cute packaging. It was on sale, but only if I bought 3 of their products, so I debated if I should pay full price. However, I broke down cause it was just so darn cute and ended up paying about $13.00. It is a steep price for eyeshadow but I LOVE the results. They are shimmery and colorful enough to make a look that can pass for both day or evening. The black is perfect for going over the eyeliner to smudge and give it staying power and all the other colors blend together flawlessly. The bottom of the quad has it’s own personal mirror which is really nice when you have a big belly and can’t lean over the sink very comfortably to get to the big wall mirror. I’ve worn this every day since buying it and really like how it makes my eyes look. It’s also nice for summer since it is subtle but really makes the eyes pop. Since these are neutral colors they would pretty much work for anyone but they did have a couple more neutral quads similar to this one.
If you are in the market for some new eye stuff I definitely recommend all of these products. Have fun, be beautiful and don’t be afraid to experiment!! Happy Friday to you all and enjoy this beautiful weekend! Cheers!!
