I know everyone is just as sick as I am of hearing ads and campaigns and spending hours watching debates. So it’s nice that finally the time has come to make a decision about our country. Even if I am left dissapointed after tonight, at least I can enjoy watching tv again! 🙂
We took the kiddos voting today because I think it’s so important to teach them to be involved in this country and decisions that are made. Yes, many times we feel like our voices aren’t heard and that our votes don’t really matter. However, we have the freedom to vote and make a choice that many countries don’t allow their people. As a woman I am so thankful for all those women who fought for our right to vote and Who demanded an equal voice as men. Because of their dedication, conviction and perserverance I can make sure my own voice is heard and sleep easy knowing I supported my candidate.
Although, I still need to teach my kids voting etiquette – (Logan yelled out who I was voting for so everyone could hear) – they had a good time and I feel better knowing they were taught something today. Kids don’t understand how fortunate they are, and many of us adults take advantage of our rights so it’s always nice to be reminded.
To all those who voted….thanks! Let the best man win!! Fingers crossed for my man! 🙂
