Sorry for the late post. 7 months kind of snuck up on me this month.
Height/Weight: I don’t have exact measurements at this point but my best guesstimate is he is at 19 lbs and a gajillion inches long. He is tall, tall, tall and growing like an absolute weed. I swear he has a growth spurt every 4 days…no joke.
Routine: He is starting to change up his routine slightly as he gets bigger. His naps are changing as are his eating patterns. I feel like 7 months is always kind of an adjustment month since he is eating more solid type foods and requiring less sleep. All my kids seemed to kind of settle into a whole new routine about this time. However, it’s going pretty seamless. Ive been around the block with this a few times so we know how to just go with the flow of these things.
Sleeping: With the routine change he has been slowly getting rid of his second nap, opting to push back his morning nap and make it longer. So it’s working pretty well and I suspect in another week he will have his timing down pat. He is inconsistently sleeping through the night. Whenever he is going through growth spurts he is up at least once or twice to eat…but since he seems to be growing ALL THE TIME this happens quite often. He likes to go to bed relatively early so is begging for lights out around 6-7. Honestly, the kid is still a big sleeper so I really can’t complain.
Eating/Feeding: His appetite has mega increased this month. He is now having 8 oz of formula and lots of solids. I tried some crackers the other day and potatoes but he is still not quite ready for the chewing action. He has no teeth and is used to just swallowing so I suspect by 8 months he will be a bit more up for that challenge.
Sizes: He has moved on to size 4 diapers and is in 12-18 month clothes for the most part. Some shirts he can stretch into 9 months but due to his length the 18 month stuff is much more comfortable.
Milestones: He rolls all over the place and is trying to pull himself up on his arms. He isn’t on his knees quite yet but that’s cause he hasn’t quite figured those knockers out yet. 😉 He zooms around in his walker like he is in the INDY 500 and it is beyond hilarious. Him and Gavin might as well have races on their wheeled toys cause they both zoom around like crazy men. He is still constantly moving all.the.time. It’s almost impossible to hold him because he just squirms and squirms and squirms. He’s always been a mover so I’m not surprised but now that he is a giant it’s a little harder to contain him. I often have to just put him on the floor or in his crib so he can wiggle like a little worm to his hearts content. I’m in trouble when this kid actually gets real mobile. Between him and Gavin I really am gonna have gray hair.
Favorite Toys: We got him a Sophie giraffe and he loves it as much as Gavin used to love his. Course, we usually have to pry it out of Gavin’s hands so that he will share with his baby brother. Apparently, Gavin remembers Sophie fondly and feels the need to not give Boden the same teething joy in life. He loves sesame street as much as Gavin and often is chewing on the toys and stuffed animals but really his brothers are his toys. He finds utmost delight in watching them run around.
Favorite Moment: Boden has become so much more vocal this month. He is constantly talking very loudly so that he can be heard over the chaos of our home. It is soooo funny. He will just talk and shout like he has important things to say. All of this is followed by drooling and gummy, toothless, smiles. It’s just sooo cute. Gavin finds him hilarious and they will both just sit and talk and laugh at each other. Melts my heart.
