The weather has been pretty nice lately….getting hotter and will be a brutal weekend… but we are soaking up the cool breezes while we can. The older two spent the night with my parents last night and spent the day eating out, going to the movies and being nothing short of spoiled. I always miss them when they are gone but it freed me up to get a little more work done and spend some one on one time with the hubs and Gavin.
Me and little man spent it the best way we could think of…..with lots of swinging, kisses, snuggles and naps (well the baby naps) haha. There is nothing greater than baby kisses! (well maybe big boy kisses too)
The boys got home this afternoon and my littlest sister and mom got some bonding time with Mr Littles. I found this outfit on clearance when I was pregnant and am so happy he finally got to wear it. I thought it might be a bit too hot but it’s absolutely adorbs!!
I got cleared to exercise yesterday so am definitely ready to get back into shape. It was Jared and Logan’s night to go fishing so me, Mason and Gavin packed up the stroller and headed to the walking trail next to the lake. We got almost 2 miles in before I realized I watch way too much dateline and psyched myself out. The trails are kind of wooded and all I could think about were how a lot of women get murdered while on walking and running trails. About the time, I’m telling myself to stop being ridiculous, I look over and see a giant hole that is covered by this large rock. It was large enough for a body to fit so I decided it was time to turn around and head back to the car. Obviously, there was no body and I’m sure the trail is about as safe as can be but my mind just wouldn’t stop playing tricks on me. Other than realizing I’m a serious wimp and a half we had a great time and it felt amazing to get some exercise. 🙂
We got home and Mason had a meltdown due to exhaustion from all the excitement of the past two days. He swore that after video games, ice cream, eating out, spending the day with the grandparents, going for a walk and playing, that that wasn’t enough fun. He is now in bed snoozing off all that sadness. 😉 Gavin was oblivious to all the meltdowns and continued on with his bath which was followed up with happily spitting up over his clean jammies. I’ve also decided he is sick of his picture being taken in his birthday suit!!
It’s almost the weekend which isn’t jam packed yet……but I’m sure it will be soon enough!! Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine!
