A miracle has occurred because I am actually posting this on the correct day!! Woohoo go me!
How far along: 31 weeks
Baby’s size: He is about 18 inches and 3.5 pounds. At this point he is about maxed out in length and will continue to gain some pudge and fat for the rest of his time inside the oven. He will continue at about 1/2 oz a week, give or take. Mommy’s size? Well let’s just say anyone who says anything these days comments something like, “Are you sure there is just one?” or “Are you having twins.” Those comments always make me feel so much better about myself and my bulging belly! Actually, to their credit I do look huge but technically this is my 3rd baby and things stretch and grow a lot more with subsequent pregnancies. Yes, my doctor actually told me that!! 🙂
Sleep: I crashed really hard last night and slept in until 9:00 this morning. I was really moody, grumpy and tired yesterday and didn’t realize just how much until this morning. I didn’t notice as much pain throughout the night because I was so conked out but I did my share of tossing and turning and re-arranging of pillows.
Best moment this week: This beautiful day we are having today. We got to eat lunch outside, I’ve had the doors and windows open, I made muffins for breakfasts’ this week and have just had a nice spring day. Currently, all three boys are out of the house so I’m actually having alone time for the first time in…….well honestly I don’t remember the last time this happened!!!
Worst moment of the week: Probably yesterday! I was just all out or sorts and we were around my husbands family so I’m sure they think I was off my rocker. I woke up not feeling well and then my hormones got all out of whack and boy was I not fun to be around. I snapped out of it about 6:00 but by that time I’m pretty sure I had already scared everyone who had the misfortune of being around me. Ugh….another one of those preggo hazards and hopefully people understand! :/
Movement: Still kicking and stretching like a mad man. Right now he is currently showing off so he must know that I’m talking about him. I bet he is a little social butterfly! HA
Cravings: Honestly right now I’m craving biscuits and gravy which is a nice change from all the sweet stuff I have been craving the past couple of weeks. However, since I don’t currently have any B&G it’s not helping me much. Plus, I want authentic B&G not that canned stuff. Oh if only I was Martha Stewart!!
Missing Anything: My stable moods and hormones. Honestly, I have never been a moody person and have never had struggles with PMS. I mean as a woman we all have our moments but I really have been fortunate not to have to deal with a lot of that stuff. So this pregnancy has really been a whole new experience with that since my moods have been ALL over the place. I feel like some day I’m going to walk past a mirror and be green with a witch hat on my head. The sad thing is that I really do try to be aware of it and combat the moods but there really isn’t anything that can be done. When preggo hormones take over there just isn’t any way to stop them. So yea….I’m ready for my normal calm self to come back to me.
Queasy or sick: Of course since I reported that I was feeling great…..I totally jinxed myself. I woke up yesterday nauseous and cramping all the time. I was having Braxton Hicks on top of the nausea and then Gavin would react and start kicking which quadrupled my nausea difficulties. I was starving but afraid to eat and had to resort to crackers and sprite (which did help a little). Plus, we had obligations with family yesterday so I was forced to be social and walk around a lot and it was just awful. I felt like either my pelvis was going to break in half or else I was going to throw up all over the place….I just didn’t know which one would happen first. However, I woke up today feeling pretty good after that rest so hopefully that was just a small bump in the road.
Looking forward to: Our Anniversary is on Tuesday. 8 years already!! Can’t believe it. Not sure what we are doing but we have babysitting from 5-10 so I’m sure we can think of something to occupy our time. Excited to get some uninterrupted time with the hubs and do something fun.
Baby item of the week: This isn’t really a baby item but I have been shopping around like crazy trying to find nursing camis. I had several from my last pregnancies but they were used so much they had a fateful ending in the trash. I got most of them as gifts so had never really paid much attention to the price but wowza!! They are super expensive. I think the cheapest one I found was $15 and it was pretty crappy quality that likely wouldn’t have held up to much washing. So since I have been miss DIY the past few months I decided to try to tackle making my own. I have figured out two ways of doing it but haven’t decided which method will work the best. There is a loop method and snap method. I found regular camis at Forever21 for only $1.80 a piece and bought several. Yes, I realize their quality isn’t the best either but I can afford for something that cheap not to last forever over the $15.oo one. Plus, since I’ll have so many they won’t get as much use. So it will all work out. They are going to be shipped this week and once I decide on my method and make a few I’ll share with you all in case anyone else is looking for a cheaper alternative.
Have a great week everyone!!!
