Baby’s size: 15.2 inches which I feel every single bit of and 2.54 pounds approximately. He is the size of a Fougasse (don’t ask me how to pronounce that) which is similar to foccacia bread.
Sleep: Insomnia has come fierce this week. Again, it’s to be expected since it is the third trimester and it has happened to me with all of my pregancies, however, this one takes the cake. I am up literally half the night most nights from about 1:30-5:30 or 6 before dozing off again only to be awakened by hip and back pain. I seem to do so much tossing and turning that I just cause soreness and pain. I really just need to start getting up and getting things done or stretching out my muscles. If I’m going to get 3 hours of sleep a night I’d prefer them to at least be pain free. Hoping my body will adjust soon and realize I’ve done this a few times and know how the sleep deprivation game works.
Best moment this week: Broncos won on Sunday after a rather stressful game…so on to the Championship we will go. Here’s to hoping for a big win come Sunday!
Worst moment this week: We had some crappy weather yesterday that delayed our kids getting home from the bus and then created a fiasco where we couldn’t get to them. Long story short they had an impromptu sleepover at my husband’s aunt’s house and I’m so thankful she was there to take care of them. It was a pretty scary and crappy ordeal that we are hoping doesn’t happen again.
Movement: About the same. Moves a lot and likes to play. He knows when his brothers are around and reacts accordingly and is responding to touch and music a lot more. I practice my hypnobirthing courses at night before bed and as I go to sleep and he seems to be uber relaxed and calm during those which helps me drift off to sleep.
Cravings: Hot dogs….again. Why am I craving one of the worst things you can have while pregnant? Ugh it’s so bad. I’m also back to cereal which is just so weird since I really don’t eat cereal unless I’m pregnant.
Missing Anything: Sleep. Need I say more?!
Queasy or sick: Nothing this week. No dizzy spells or anything which was really great.
Looking forward to: Jared’s birthday is next week and we are taking the whole day off to do who knows what…but who cares. WE ARE TAKING A DAY OFF!! Woot woot! The kiddos will be in school and the babysitter is scheduled to come and watch Gavin so me and that man I’m married to will actually get to see each other, without kids, outside of the house! Say What?!?!?!
Baby Item of the Week: I finally got some baby items I needed this week, including new swaddle blankets, burp cloths, towels and other just little essentials that either got ruined from Gavin or we ran out of. Still no finished nursery but we are close and once the walls and decor are done the rest should come together very easily.
Baby Name: For all of those who have asked about a name just wanted to give you an update. We have a name that we’ve had since I was about 16 weeks pregnant but have decided to not announce it until he is born. We aren’t waiting to see what he looks like or anything but rather just thought it would be fun to save something. We never did that with any of our other kids so decided to play the waiting game this last time around. The only hint I’ll give is it does go with our name theme which is 5 letters, ends in N, 2 syllables and has a greek middle name. So stay tuned for birthing day!!
