I can’t believe in only 15 short weeks little man will be here!! It’s insane how quick some of these weeks are flying by. Thankfully, along with baby will hopefully come warmer weather!! Woot woot!
How far along: 25 weeks and 3 days (Sometime I will get back to posting these on time)
Baby’s size: Gavin is now 13.5 inches long and I can definitely feel it when he is trying to stretch out. It feels like stretch armstrong has taken over my belly! He is nearing 2 pounds and my uterus is the size of a soccer ball. I had the boys put a soccer ball under their shirts the other day to walk around and they said they didn’t like it and were glad they weren’t mommies! Perhaps, they won’t complain so much the next time I ask them to rub my back. Little crazies. 😉
Sleep: I’m getting more sleep than I was last week due to being nearly done with sickness. Hooray! Otherwise, same ole aches and pains. I’m starting to get used to them and keep telling myself I’ll do some stretches before bed to help but end up being so exhausted I barely make it to the bed. I know it would benefit me greatly…..it’s the whole “making it into a routine” thing that gets me every time. Blugh
Best moment this week: Valentines day was a lot of fun with the kiddos and my brother turned 29. Can’t believe he is almost 30….which means I’m nearing 30….Yikes!
Worst moment of the week: The worst moment was being sick. The headache I had for 3 solid days was absolute torture and I am sooooo very glad that is over. Hoping it stays away.
Movement: He is definitely my most active baby so far. I’m not sure if that means he will be this active once he is out or not. If he is than I can only hope he is independent because I can’t imagine a child having more energy than the two I already have!! Mason man FINALLY got to feel him yesterday and he was thrilled to pieces. He kicks and moves around so forcefully that my whole belly protrudes and sticks out every time he is rolling around. People can see him moving across the room so no need to even touch this ole belly!
Cravings: Still craving lots of fruit. I got some yummy peaches the other day that blew my mind. I really wish it was summer for lots of fresh yumminess but I’ll settle for what is available now.
Missing Anything: Coffee, clothes and not having this weird pocket of fluid that has taken up residence under my chin. Sometimes I look down and see this thing hanging off my face. Eeek! Swelling can be horrifying sometimes. 😉
Queasy or sick: Finally on the tail end of being sick and my dizziness and nausea has subsided. Fatigue is the biggest symptom I still have
Looking forward to: My birthday is Saturday. It’s kind of a weird birthday for me this year (which I will elaborate on in my birthday post). However, we are going to spend it as a family hanging out and not thinking about work or any other stressors in our life. And perhaps a nap and a back rub will be given too. Sometimes wishes do come true!! 🙂 Oh and I’m getting my haircut tomorrow…..if only I could explain the condition of my hair right now! Yucky.
Baby item of the week: All 3 of the boys have these Ty Beanie Boos. We picked them out to match their eye color because their eyes are just so darn cute. So naturally Logan has a husky with blue eyes in which he named Blue and Mason has a hedgehog with big brown eyes that he named Cutie. They have become their new best friends, especially Mason’s since he is home without a playmate all day. So in keeping with tradition we made a big family decision on which beanie boo we should get for the new baby. Yes, we have huge family decisions we make in this family!! So without further ado…..we have decided on…..
Rebel the Meerkat…..Not sure what his actual name will be since it will be a while for Gavin to talk and name him himself so for now we will stick with whatever Ty decided on. The boys were very excited and while we wanted one with green eyes the selection was less than stellar so Meerkat it is. Now Gavin can officially join in the Beanie Boo fun with his big brothers.
On a side note we had an absolute beautiful day yesterday full of 66 degrees and lots of sunshine. It was amazing to sit on the deck and get some sun. It’s amazing how much we have missed it this winter. My little pal was definitely excited! Definitely looking forward to spring.
(Oh and this is a picture of Mason’s pal Cutie who was also enjoying the warm weather. Isn’t that the happiest little face???)
Hope you all are having a happy and healthy week! Much love….
