***I’m tripling up again this week since I’ve been a little absent. Sorry!!
How far along: 23 Weeks
Baby’s size: 1.3 pounds 12 inches. He is the sizeof a Buche de Noel which is a rolled up sponge cake in the shape of a Christmas log. Now isn’t that season appropriate.
Sleep: When I get it I crash. Otherwise, I’m pretty sure I live in a state of awake sleep most days. If you’re human you likely know exactly what I’m talking about.
Best moment this week: Logan had an Honor Choir concert last night that was fun and besides that we have been working non-stop so not much.
Worst moment this week: Dealing with the post office. They might be one of the worst organizations on this planet and that’s sad considering I know and have a lot of family that works hard for them. Seriously, UPS is about to become my best friend….even if I have to pay more for our friendship.
Movement: Felt him a lot this week. I’m pretty sure he had a growth spurt considering my belly has definitely popped out more and his movements are stronger. I spoke too soon last week when I said they aren’t as strong as Gavin. Let’s just scratch that from the record. Haha! He is most active in the morning, mid afternoon and evening or after I’ve had caffeine.
Cravings: Nothing really. Our meals have been a mess with our schedules and food has been nothing but something we cram in our mouths as fast as humanly possible. So really I’m kind of sick of food at the moment.
Missing Anything: A little bit of downtime. My body needs some rest and it’s definitely telling me that but I really don’t even have 5 minutes at the time so I’m just pushing through and doing what I can. One evening off would do wonders but we’re still a couple of weeks away from that. We can do it!!!
Queasy or sick: Nothing this week. All the queasiness from the past couple of weeks has disappeared.
Looking forward to: Nothing super exciting is on the schedule but I am excited we are getting closer to Christmas. I am so excited for the boys to open their presents this year and it will be Gavin’s first Christmas that he really gets to participate and that’s always a blast. We are gonna plug through the next couple of weeks and then enjoy a relaxing Christmas Day filled with absolutely nothing.
Baby Item of the Week: No item this week. Haven’t had much time to do much but my sister did paint some of the nursery Monday so that was extremely helpful. Hoping to be able to finish some of that at some point in the future so I can start assembling furniture. I haven’t even opened the crib and changing table to see what they look like. Hopefully, they look exactly as they were pictured. Haha.
How far along: 24 Weeks
Baby’s size: 1.3 pound and 12 inches. This week he is the size of Demi-Baguette which is about half the size of a normal french bread.
Sleep: I’m sleeping relatively well which is a surprise. A little back pain here and there but I’m so exhausted my body doesn’t even seem to care.
Best moment this week: Logan turned 9 yesterday!!! Yikes, when did he get so big. I remember being 24 weeks pregnant with him like it was yesterday so it’s amazing that the little on in my belly will be 9 before I can even blink. Life is fleeting for sure.
Worst moment this week: Work stress has been through the roof. I have about 90-100 emails every day and most due to extremely poor service from USPS. Yes, I realized this was also an issue last week…..ironic huh. I am beyond grateful and overwhelmed with the success of our business but I am exhausted, stressed to the gills and disappointed that I can’t hand deliver our products to people.
Movement: He is moving a lot now. No one else has been able to feel him but honestly we just haven’t had much time to attempt. His kicks are hard enough to be seen on the outside, but again everyone else seems to be having visual deficits cause they haven’t seen it. haha
Cravings: I’ve resisted the Oreo thin cookies for months now because everyone says they are super addicting. I made the big mistake of grabbing some mint ones the other night and holy cow, EVERYONE was right!!! I think I hate the whole box in like a 48 hour period. My hips and butt are not happy but I’ve been running around to work it off so hopefully no harm was done. My gestational diabetes test is in a few weeks so lets hope all that oreo yumminess is out of my system before then.
Missing Anything: A day off, my husband and my kids. I’m tired and overworked. Other than that no.
Queasy or sick: I was sick Friday and was puking my guts out at work and then home. It was definitely like a random bout of morning sickness or something. Of course I’m not ruling out stress to have contributed. I’m trying to keep everything in check so I’m not bending over trash cans in the office. Gross!
Looking forward to: Getting all of these orders filled and finding a new shipping service. Yup, you can tell how my week has gone!
Baby Item of the Week: We did get the crib and changing table put together but still haven’t finished painting. Some day that will get done and I’ll actually have time to work on the nursery and recognize I’m even pregnant.
Let’s do this week 24!!
How far along: 25 weeks
Baby’s size: 1.6 pounds and 13 inches long. He is the size of a Tarte Tatin which is an upside down tart invented in the 1880s by a baker who botched an apple pie and had to improvise. Little fun fact for you.
Sleep: Hip pain has come back but not terribly. Honestly, I’m so tired I just crash and don’t even care if I hurt. Just need pillow and the world is better.
Best moment this week: This week has been INSANELY stressful but the boys got to start Christmas break so they were really excited and it’s nice to see them more even if we aren’t getting to do much.
Worst moment this week: Same as the past few. Work stress is through the roof. Cyber bullying is real people and it doesn’t just happen to kids in school. Nope it happens to sellers A LOT and it’s really wearing on the ole mind. Hoping bed bug weathers this very stressful storm we are in and is safe in his little cocoon.
Movement: Very steady and pretty predictable. Like my other boys he knows when I get worried if I don’t feel him and usually gives me a reassuring kick to let me know he is okay. Such sweetie pies. Haha. He is still most active at night and in the morning and usually around meal times during the day.
Cravings: Real food. With our hectic schedule we haven’t eaten at our kitchen table in nearly a month and have been grabbing a lot of stuff on the go or easy things I can pack in lunch box and take to the warehouse. Definitely has been very hard to eat healthy and I feel beyond sluggish because of it. Must get back on track ASAP.
Missing Anything: A day off, my husband and my kids. I’m tired and overworked. Other than that no. Hmm….yea this is about the same so I’m leaving it this week.
Queasy or sick: Nothing too bad. I think stress is giving me some nausea and some dizziness but nothing that’s too constant or worrisome yet.
Looking forward to: Christmas!!! We are allowing ourselves to take that day off and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I may have children bring gifts into our room and never leave the bed. We are going to have some much needed family time and try to enjoy the one day this season that we have yet to get any enjoyment out of. Very much looking forward to it. 2 more days!!!
Baby Item of the Week: Nothing this week. Once January hits we get to focus on baby things so I’m looking forward to some time to be pregnant and figure out what I need and what I don’t need. We just went through all this with Gavin but I kind of forget what I have and what I don’t so it’s time to dust off the old totes and take a peak.
Merry Christmas to you all and enjoy your time with your family!
