How far along: 20 Weeks!! We are halfway to the debut of bed bug and I can hardly believe it. Honestly, I am feeling just a tad teary eyed knowing we are now on the downward slope and that this is it. It’s like a rock band on it’s final tour…..except I’m pregnant, getting large and popping out a baby soon. Very rock star indeed. 😉 With the bittersweetness, however, definitely comes excitement as we get closer and closer to laying eyes on our fourth Son. Honestly, I’m still getting used to even saying that. Who knew I’d have 4 boys!! The next 8 weeks are my absolute favorite because the baby moves more which means there is a lot of mommy/son bonding and it’s the last little push before things get real uncomfortable.
Baby’s size: 10.58 oz and 10.08 inches long. Bed Bug is the size of a Palmier Cookie which kind of looks like a heart in my opinion. Cue the “Awwwwwwww’s!” Measurements are now measured from crown to feet as opposed to crown to rump as it’s been the last 20 weeks.
Sleep: Sleep isn’t too bad. We have been going to bed super early lately. I’m pretty sure the other night I was out at 8:15 and 9:00 seems to be the new 11 for us. Jared is having sympathy fatigue so we just crash together and blame it on the time change, weather or whatever other excuse we can find. It’s certainly not because of age or parenting or work or anything else that is such a lame excuse. 😉 I am soaking up the extra sleep since I know it will not be happening much in my 3rd trimester and once baby gets here.
Best moment this week: The weeks are passing by so quickly I’m having a hard time remembering what we even did. Ugh, pregnancy brain is seriously real people!!! We did absolutely nothing this weekend, as far as having anything planned, and that was super nice. Always, nice to have a weekend of nothing this time of year when everything gets so crazy.
Worst moment this week: I actually don’t have one. It was a pretty good week.
Movement: He is becoming more consistent with his movements and definitely recognizes Jared’s touch and voice. I think he likes him more, go figure. The kicks are still soft and can’t be seen or felt from the outside but we will be there soon.
Cravings: Italian, italian, italian. I could really go for some Olive Garden right now. Breadsticks???? Yes, please!
Missing Anything: Not much. Just the same ole same ole.
Queasy or sick: Nada. I’ve really lucked out in the sick department.
Looking forward to: I got a new workout to try which I’m excited about. I’m always careful about starting new workouts during pregnancy but modifications are always a girls best friend, when in doubt. I am also looking forward to finishing painting the trim work in the boys’ room and getting them officially moved downstairs. I have been doing organizational projects all week and this house is starting to look clean and organized…again. Well at least all the closets.
Baby Item of the Week: I actually didn’t get much this week besides some new baby socks. Exciting, right??? The changing table and mattress are still sitting at the bottom of my stairs since I don’t have the nursery cleared yet to store them in and the crib is coming tomorrow. So by next week we will have a lot more baby things put together….at least I hope.
Thanks to all of you who continue to read and follow me during this pregnancy and in our every day life. It means the world and I enjoy going on this journey with all of you! Happy Wednesday!
