How far along: 19 weeks and 1 day
Baby’s size: According to our ultrasound baby was 9 oz so now he is a bit over that.
Sleep: Pretty good. Still left hip pain but can’t complain
Best moment this week: Finding out the gender was the highlight. Plus, it’s been nice to decide on a nursery theme and start some research now that I know another little man will be joining the family.
Worst moment of the week: More SNOW!! We have been snowed in so many times this winter and it’s only January. I am a homebody by heart but being stuck in without the ability to get out and exercises or participate in stuff is starting to wear on me. I feel like I’m becoming lazy and being inside all day calls for sitting, sitting and more sitting which isn’t helping the weight gain, back and hip pain! Sigh
Movement: He is the most active in the mornings and evening times. He does react to certain foods or music which is really interesting. He is now awake about 6 hrs a day which means he spends that time working on his gymnastic and karate skills.
Cravings: None really except for an ice cream cone last night. I was also craving an iced caramel machiato from Starbucks the other day. Despite the cold weather I fulfilled both cravings!
Queasy or sick: Feeling pretty good. I have had a few headaches this week but no nausea or anything severe. The flu is going around like crazy where we live so I have been trying to stay indoors, wash hands and disinfect anything. Can’t get sick right now!!
Looking forward to: Starting on the nursery! I should be getting the crib tomorrow which is super exciting. However, with the blizzard like conditions around the country it might be delayed. I cleaned out the nursery and have it all ready to go for decorating and setting up. Yes, I know I still have 21 weeks but hey baby’s can be unpredictable and you can never have things ready too early in my book.
Hope everyone is staying warm and safe during the crazy cold temps and storms!!!
